Code of Conduct

The Professional Ski Instructors of America and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AAI) ("we") provide The Community discussion platform ("The Community") to you, the members of PSIA-AASI. You are the best professional ski and snowboard instructors from around the world, and you make The Community worthy of that status.

The Community is an educational tool provided as a member benefit and therefore will be monitored by PSIA-AASI. To make sure that The Community is helpful and enjoyable for all of you, we ask you to join us in observing the following simple rules and letting us know if others do not. We can and will remove those who violate the rules or hinder positive, professional discussion.

Be reasonable and civil to each other. Bring value to discussions. Be helpful. Encourage one another. Highlight trends and share stories, studies, resources, and thoughts to further each other’s knowledge of snowsports instruction

Be respectful of other members’ opinions: everyone is entitled to express themselves…even if you disagree.

  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or attack individuals or groups
  • Use language that is derogatory, unprofessional, or disrespectful
  • Post content that is not directly related to snowsports education or instruction.
  • Post anything that is harmful to minors, obscene/pornographic, objectionable, or that violates any U.S. law
  • Infringe on the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of third parties
  • Post anything you consider confidential
  • Post multi-level marketing or other pyramid scheme offers
  • Offer, sell, or otherwise advertise products or services that you or your company sells or offers.
  • Send spam
  • Interfere with or disrupt the normal use of the Group by other authorized users or the servers and networks associated with the Group
  • Post links to your own blog posts or links about your own products if your blog posts/products have no specific mention of PSIA-AASI, ski and snowboard instruction or related fields.

Disciplinary policy. Abuse of the forum rules will result in the following disciplinary process. First infraction receives a warning email and removal of post. A second infraction will put the member into full moderation, requiring approval of all posts before they go live. Posts that continue to violate the code of conduct and do not receive approval will result in a third infraction and possible banning at the discretion of the moderation team.

To post or find a job, group members should use PSIA-AASI’s Job Board, Post jobs, search jobs and connect with the most qualified snow pro candidates in the country at the PSIA-AASI Job Board. It’s the best stash for all jobs snow-related.

We are not responsible or liable for any content posted by Community members. You are responsible for the information that you post and for the consequences of posting that information. You use this Community at your own risk and understand and agree that we provide no express or implied warranties about the Community. By posting to the Community, you waive any legal or equitable rights or remedies you may have against us and our affiliates with respect to your use of the Community and these rules.

If you believe that a posting violates these rules, please alert us. We will consider the reported problem and take action that we believe is appropriate.
